I have a few ideas for the Exile server, nothing earth shattering but just things to add to what is an excellent and pretty much unique Arma 3 server. We all agree that basic Exile was just a 'flog the lot'  simulator that revolved around the sodding terminal, and got very monotonous and boring as hell. A3 Vanilla is never going to get boring, but i have a few ideas to throw in for discussion....

1. It pisses down way to often, core temp is a pain in the arse when doing a mission as you have to hop in a car to heat up or start losing health at 35 degrees. So if it rains can you shorten the duration of the rain, i still want the rain but would like to see less of it.

2. Gain a Permanent vehicle from the car thieves or car dealer mission. Cars are so rare and everyone that has one treats it better than their RL daily driver, wheels are very rare to find and are cherished when you finally find one.

3. A way to sell unwanted gear, so a dump somewhere. I would like it if it did NOT accept vehicles or weapons as their rarity make them cherished (see No 2), but if you have a load of sights, silencers and stuff you can get a few Tabs to be able to afford a supply drop. It will take 100hrs play to get the large drop at 100,000 Tabs.

4. The Large drop is only useful for the code locks as all the other gear is buildable in about 1hr of deforestation and a bit of food and water. The 75,000 Tab drop is the best bang for buck airdrop as 90% of it is flaming awesome and is worth EVERY Tab of the cost, code locks are a nice thing to have and can be found on missions but are not needed to secure a base.

5. Ammo spawns for DMR and M14 are pretty much non existent in military loot spawns as i have never seen one.

There we go, just a few ideas that might make our server even better or worse. please comment on them and feel free to add your own ideas. Lots of hard work have gone into creating and modifying our server and making it THE best server out there, let's see if we can improve on perfection  :)

Edit: Fookin found a DMR and 3 mags, LOL!!!!! Tempt fate and it shall appear  :)

Like the ideas dave, I would also like to add the loot from the missions crates all last nite where the same loot, not the best of stuff to get after you use your good ammo to clear it.

1) Will definitely tweak the weather a bit and add some more sunshine / overcast.
2) Does this not happen already on one of them? - I do need to change the vehicles to CUP ones either way.
3) Not against the idea, lets see what others think.
4) A rework of this is needed, Mitton already highlighted the issue. We should get this sorted ASAP
5) I will rework these in the loot table a bit.

- Will also take another visit to the Mission loot boxes, they are awkward enough but I'll get something organized.
- Will also rejig the supply drops too

Thanks for the swift reply KrisiS, i'll have a stab at the vehicle missions later and see if i get a code. As long as they are not in suicide locations  :)

I dont think you will get a code mate, but I will clear the mission and see if it stays after restart

1. Yes please, more overcast and lightning if possible.  Really sets the mood  ;D
2. Yes, car thieves is a permanent car but without lock code.
3. Not sure. Maybe re-pricing the top tier XM8 app store items (and tweaking the contents like discussed) is a cleaner option?  I don't know.  See 4 below  ;D
4. I think I emailed the XM8 store gun crate info (sniper pack and silenced assault pack), but we didn't look at the 2 base building type boxes. Any ideas for contents and poptab cost from our resident base builders?
5. Seems to be just about enough DMR/M14 ammo on missions and sometimes in supply crates to keep me going personally.  Is very rare to find the ammo for them in loot spawns like Dave said.

While I'm here (keep forgetting  ;D), several of the most recent spawned vehicles are locked.  Please can they be unlocked?  I can look around for the locations of them if useful.  Also, is concrete in the loot table?  A few base builders have been looking for it.  I gather it's in one of the recipes for reinforcing walls.

During my time playing, Mitton and James have been interested in doing deals with Lockheed and Rafal.  Apprehension always sets in though as it's hard to tell whether they are going to just pop you and take said item(s).  How about an "ebay" system, where you can just "quick sell" items to the computer or put them up for auction with a buy it now price. It would encourage looting and doing missions so players can achieve a steady income and also allows players to trade without the fear of being backstabbed.

- I have tweaked the 'Bandits' mission to have another box with lots of ammo. It is in testing now and will need some balancing to finish it off. If successful, there will 'likely' be second box added to all missions - with varying but similar goodies inside.

- Will be removing the last of the thermal scopes soon.
