Hi guys.
To put it bluntly, there's a lot of satisfaction that I used to get out of the game that is now currently lacking. When I played Day Zero (a mod for DayZ that was 5x as hard PVP wise and attrition wise), the team I played with were bandits who used tactics on an insane level; players who's playstyle fitted alongside mines. Excluding James and Mitton, I am finding it hard to achieve this with ugN since the clan has focused on a more "base-building" angle over the last 5-6 weeks.
The main reason, sadly, is that it has became incredible exhausting to continue respecting other members' chosen playstyle when these members are constantly ridiculing me for mines. I wish the clan would understand that DayZ is an open sandbox game. It has no rules or a set-in-stone playstyle. Your moral compass aids you in how you play the game. It is NOT the rules of the game. There are a few arrogant members who can't help but try to tell me the "right way to play the game." There is no right way to play the game. A "respect other players" message appears everytime you log into the server, I wish the members who created that rule would follow it. Mitton and James are a great example of respect for other players.
I have grown distant to the desire in contributing to the clan and as a result I am taking a break from DayZ. The novelty of the game has been lost and I am not going to continue playing with a clan that not only does not make me feel welcome but also disrespects the way I play. I dunno how long I am going to go on a break for. I will be back when I feel like I want to play again. I think I am going to spend some time playing games that will light some nostalgia. Final Fantasy and Star Wars Jedi Academy comes to mind!

Your very welcome buddy.
We all get frustrated in one way or another at times and definitely one of the best routes to take when this happens can be a break.
Rest assured that there will always be an open door for you here man. Every single member is free to come and go as they please, providing they do so without creating unnecessary problems (as has happened a few times in the past).
I have read your points very closely above and although I have definite sympathy for you I just can't see it as being something that we could even begin to try to change.
I really don't want to get into a debate here about ethics, opinions or gamestyles etc... and to be honest I will close this thread in a couple of days.
Part of the problem with playing as a Bandit, as I see it - is that the majority of anyone that I know who plays DayZ, like to do so for the survival/crafting aspect of the game as opposed to PVP. I have always found, and I have been playing DayZ since day 1 - that the bandits (while absolutely necessary for the game experience) always seem to get shunned in general by the 'general dayz community' (from noobs all the way up to veterans). Bandits simply work best as lone wolves or very small squads. They will be hated and more importantly feared on the game server by the casual gamer or survivalist but they certainly do intrigue players that lean towards PVP, especially if they are working towards or maintaining 'hero status'.
Believe me, I've seen it all... we used to have a very complex DayZ Community which catered for everything and everyone. With well over 150 active DayZ members, it was so complex that it needed it's own forum and every TS3 room was organized via the permission system. Our TS3 server had 60 slots and it was constantly 60/60 with members playing.
The only long-term successful bandits I have come across have been in very small squads, for example 1-3 experienced players and these guys have had nothing to do with clans/communities. Anything more than 1-3 squad mates will eventually fail.
I personally LOVE all play-styles and cunning mischievousness. We have very minimal rules on our game servers and this is purposely maintained in order to promote all types of varying play-styles.
I honestly cannot see how it won't remain impossible for you to integrate fully with this community if your sole DayZ experience is based around banditry. It's just not how communities like ugN Gaming work in the long-term.
If you would like to squad up with similar members on our own server, it would be no problem. You can certainly have your own locked TS3 room and play as a bandit team/squad.
But anyway my friend, as I've said before - I'm genuinely saddened to see you feel this way but I certainly wish you the best of luck with whatever game you get into.
Enjoy the break,
